'Cafe' at Calgary Bay. The chalk board faintly says cafe closed - they only way I knew it was a cafe! The cow must have been waiting for it to re-open?

Bus Journey: Berlin 15 May 2005

I caught the bus no 100 at Alexander Platz, took it as far as the Richstag Stop explored around that area before rejoining the bus for the journey to the Banhof Zoo stop - the terminus for the route.
All images were taken from the upper deck of the double decker bus through windows scratched with graffiti.

Train Journeys Febuary 2005

Train Journey: 15.30 Bristol Temple Meads to London Paddington, Diverted via Westbury Wiltshire due to Engineering work.
This white Horse on the hillside was after Westbury & before Reading - I'll check on an Ordnance survey map & try & identify it.

These seemed to symbolise the end of winter to me, they were dry & split & empty - still on the tree but all around them the branches were shooting with the start of the new spring growth.
I read the story of Persephone as a child & its always stayed with me.

This was Josephine Baker's Chateau - its now open to the public & worth a visit. It was the first day of the season and the tables and chairs just set out and the gravel freshly raked. I liked the shadows of the trees cast across the gravel
